How does it Work?
This is a basic guide that lists the required resources followed by 5 core steps to help you through the online learning process.
Resources required for online learning
The following will be required to complete your online learning journey with Mentornet Online:
- Access to stable internet
- Access to a laptop, notebook or personal computer
Phones and tablets can also be used to access learning materials and content, however, due to the limited screen size and functionality it can be difficult to complete activities on such devices. Thus, the use of these devices is not advised.

You can select a course or courses by:
- Browsing for a course by clicking on the "Short Courses" link in the menu above or by clicking here.
- Searching for a course by using the search field next to the menu buttons above.
You can select a qualification or qualifications by:
- Browsing for a qualfication by clicking on the "Qualifications" link in the menu above or by clicking here.
- Searching for a qualification by using the search field next to the menu buttons above.
Note that the registration phase of Step 2 below can be completed before Step 1 also if you prefer.
Step 2: Register and Pay the Registration Fee
This step consists of two phases:
Complete the registration form by clicking on the "Register" button in the menu above or by clicking here.
Pay the registration fee for the course(s) that you have selected to enroll for. You will be taken to this page automatically after entering your details in the previous phase. If you were not taken to the payment page after registration you can click here to access the payments page.
You will only be able to complete phase two above if you are logged in. You will automatically be logged in after completing the registration form.
Step 3: Do the Course Online
You will be able to access and work on your online course(s) as soon as you have completed the registration process and paid the registration fees for the courses that you chose to enroll for as set out in Steps 1 and 2.

Step 4: Apply for Assessment and Pay Examination and Certification Fee
You will only be eligible to apply for final assessment when:
- You have worked through all of the course content
- You have completed and submitted all of the course assignments
- There are no items left on your "to-do" list
- You have completed and submitted the practical portfolio
Once you have done all of the above you can apply for the final assessment by clicking the "Apply for Final Assessment" button on the "Assessments" page of the course that you would like to complete. This button will only be active once you have completed all of the requirements.
You will be directed to the final payment page where you can pay the examination and certification fee. You will only be able to complete the final exam after this payment has been processed.
Step 5: Complete the Exam and Receive your Certificate
Once you have met all of the requirements in step 4 you will be able to complete the final assessment. This assessment will be made available to you online to complete.
You will be able to access your certificate and your SOR (statement of results) online by clicking on the "My Courses" link after you have been found competent for both the theoretical exam and practical portfolio. You have to be logged in to access your results, certificate(s) and SOR(s).
